Man Fires Multiple Shots At Vehicle On Northern State Parkway, Police Say

A shooting that occurred in broad daylight on a stretch of the Northern State Parkway is under investigation.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14 in the eastbound lanes near exit 30, Willets Road in North Hempstead.

A red Honda Accord stopped in the right lane when the passenger, identified as a black man, exited the vehicle and fired multiple rounds at another unknown vehicle, according to state police.

Both the red Honda and the unidentified vehicle left the scene, police said.

The State Police is asking any witnesses or anyone with any information regarding the shooting to call 631-756-3300.
